Like you, I've helped care for a loved one.

My mother-in-law lived independently in a home near ours. Although she needed help with meals, shopping and big chores, my wife and I were proud of her self-sufficiency.

In the mornings we would look out our window to see if her kitchen blinds were open. That was our signal she had started her day. She fell a couple of times, and on one occasion, she dragged herself, with a broken hip, to a phone in another room to call us.

We took our experiences, and many similar stories told to us, and built an app that we know will help the elderly experience independence longer.
