Privacy Policy
Your family's data belongs to your family. Here is exactly how KinectedCare handles it.
All user communication is private and secure. We permanently store only the minimum amount of data on our servers needed to install and authenticate the application. Specifically, we:
- Do not market or sell any user data;
- Encrypt all user data in transit;
- Share sensitive user data only between users who have agreed to be joined in a CareTeam;
- Collect health-related data only from the Apple Health and Google Health APIs, or from activity you choose to record yourself in the app, in accordance with a strict privacy structure;
- Fetch health-related data only with the user's prior permission;
- Use health-related data only to enrich caregiving among users who have granted permission and agreed to share within a CareTeam;
- Protect sensitive user data with the user's biometric methods;
- Use sensitive user data only within the application, to enrich care-team communication.
To operate as a group communication application, KinectedCare requires permission to access device functions such as contacts, camera, photos, videos, microphone, location, and health. KinectedCare will not function without these permissions.
All of your data and content (photos, videos, files, locations, and so on) are stored on your device, and you are solely responsible for backing it up. After messages and content are successfully delivered to your device, they are deleted from our servers. If you are offline and a message cannot be delivered, we may keep it on our servers for up to 30 days; if it is still undelivered after 30 days, we delete it. To further protect privacy, any CareTeam that is inactive for 90 days is deleted.
Get Stronger. If you use the Get Stronger exercises, the app can keep a simple record of what you practice: which exercise, how many times, and when. It stays on your phone. Only if you choose to share it, it is shared with your family's CareView. You can stop sharing at any time in Settings, and what you shared is deleted. We don't read this from any health app, and we never share it with anyone outside your CareView.
This website. To see which pages are useful, we keep simple daily totals on our own servers: how many times each page was viewed, which broad source a visit came from (for example a search engine or a link from an email), and how many times a store button was clicked. We use no cookies, we do not store your IP address or any identifier, and we cannot tell one visitor from another. Our own counter honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. On our home page, download page and ad landing pages we also use Google’s tag to measure whether our ads lead to installs, with ad personalization turned off. If your browser is set to a European time zone we ask first, and the tag sets no cookies unless you accept; Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are treated as a decline. You can change your choice any time with the “Cookie settings” button.
